Say It Ain't So Jack - Rain on the way -
If the skies look gloomy maybe it's not just because it's gonna be a rainy weekend! Might be because a tv classic... Jack Roper... is retiring!
I have to admit, it hit me harder than I expected. And I knew it was coming! Jack Roper was to my right for 15 plus years. MY funny weather guy. I know you thought he was yours… but he was all mine! LOL. I felt like I was the laugh track to his jokes. He loved to make me laugh. And you guys loved to hear it. How I miss those days! I got to visit with Jack at noon on WSPA after he announced his retirement on Your Carolina. Send in your pictures with Jack (he’s been to every fair, festival and school in the upstate! )SEND THEM to this PHOTO GALLERY!

HAPPY WEEKEND
I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I LOVE to get cozy with a cup of tea and some reading and social surfing! So I will enjoy regardless of what the weather does! We are celebrating our middle daughter’s 28th bday this weekend! So we have a family gathering on Sunday that will have to also serve as mom’s day! Don’t forget your moms! The big day is next weekend! Go shopping this weekend! Love y’all!
When we moved here from Indiana in 1990 I found the local CBS channel right away. I got a job in the Birthing Center at Mary Black and I remember some family events the hospital held that Jack came to and did magic. My boys were small enough to enjoy it. Any time we saw him out & about he always spoke. My husband remembered one day at the mall when he was tired of following me around and decided to sit awhile and found Jack Roper to be in the same situation!! So they chatted awhile. Jack is one of a kind. He will be missed.
